Itinerary
Day 1
Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Trek through montane rainforest to the first camp.
Day 2
Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Climb onto the Shira Plateau with views of Kibo.
Day 3
Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
Acclimatization hike to Lava Tower, descend to Barranco.
Day 4
Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp
Scramble up the Barranco Wall, short trekking day.
Day 5
Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp
Trek to base camp, rest before the summit push.
Day 6
Summit via Uhuru Peak, descend to Mweka Camp
Midnight departure for the summit, descend to lower camp.
Day 7
Descend to Mweka Gate, transfer to Arusha
Final descent and certificates, rest in Arusha overnight.
Day 8
Arusha to Serengeti
Drive to the Serengeti with an afternoon game drive en route.
Day 9
Full Day Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Morning game drive, transfer to the Ngorongoro Highlands.
Day 10
Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive & Departure
Full crater game drive before transfer to Arusha for departure.
