An unhurried migration-focused safari built around maximum time in the Serengeti, following the herds north toward the Mara River for the chance to witness a river crossing (seasonal, typically July-September).
Day by Day
Day 1 Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Afternoon game drive among elephants and baobabs.
Day 2 Tarangire to Ngorongoro Crater Rim
Drive to the highlands, arriving in time for sunset over the caldera.
Day 3 Ngorongoro Crater to Central Serengeti
Morning crater game drive, then transfer to the Serengeti with an afternoon game drive on arrival.
Day 4 Full Day Central Serengeti
Game drives around the Seronera River system, prime territory for resident big cats.
Day 5 Central to Northern Serengeti
Repositioning drive toward the Mara River area, following the migration herds.
Day 6 Full Day Mara River Area
Full day watching for river crossings and tracking the migration herds (seasonal).
Day 7 Continue Northern Serengeti
Further game drives in the northern sector, exploring less-visited areas.
Day 8 Return to Arusha
Drive or fly back to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon.
